Gawith Hoggarth are renowned for their “Lakeland” blends and Kendal flake is a prime example of why. This is a slightly stronger blend compared to the likes of Ennerdale or Grasmere, thanks to its 1/3 dark fired leaf. The other 66% is made up from a blend of “new world” Virginia tobaccos, which takes the toppings extremely well. The exact mixture of toppings is a secret which only a handful of people in Kendal know, but does contain; Rose Geranium, Vanilla, Rum, Tonquin, Musk, Heliotropin and Rose.
