Deluxe Navy Rolls

This classic English VaPer (Virginia & Perique blend) is first pressed into large flake, before being rolled by hand into a large tube and finally sliced. The Virginias are from Africa and Brazil produce a divine grassy/hay taste which acts as a backdrop for the spicy Perique flavours.

As soon as you open the tin you are greeted with a figgy aroma, with a gentle hint of cut grass. This alluring scent is matched by the presentation of the disk, spiralling around the inside of the vacuum packed tins.

The most common method of packing a spun cut tobacco is the “fold & stuff” technique, resulting in a slower and cooler smoke. Like any flake tobaccos, you can rub the coins out before packing; this makes it easier to light, but can make the smoke a little hot.

An all time classic with oodles of aging potential, give this blend 5 years and it will blow you away. One of the best VaPer tobaccos in production.

Royal Yacht

Dunhill Royal Yacht was introduced in 1912 and has been a firm favourite with smokers around the world ever since. What is essentially a Virginia mixture is given a slight plum topping, adding a little to the smoking experience. It comes across as almost a VaPer without the addition of Perique.

From the tin this tobacco has a wonderfully complex Virginia aroma with a slight raisin not to it. This dark tobacco packs easily thanks to the ribbon cut and lights very easily. For a blend of this nature it certainly produces plenty of smoke and is best smoked slowly. If smoked too quickly the tobacco will burn a little hot and harsh, as you would expect from a Virginia blend.

Tin Note – “Truly a luxurious tobacco. Virginias are carefully conditioned to insure sweetness. They are added to rich, heavier and cooler Virginias. A unique flavour is added to the final blend to enhance the subtle and piquant aroma.”

Nightcap

If you like your beers dark, your coffee full bodied and you love Latakia and Perique, Dunhills Nightcap is a must for you. A powerful blend of dark Virginia, Turkish, Latakia and Perique, a full-on English blend. This mix produces plumes of thick and creamy smoke, with an earthy core, overlaid with smoky and spicy flavours. Not a smoke for those who like mellow tobaccos, with a sweet flavour.

Tin Description: “A rich blend for late in the day. It is a slow, lasting smoke. Just prior to packing, expensive Perique tobacco is added to enhance to bouquet.“

One of the finest full bodied blends on the market.

Early Morning

When previously made by Murrys, Early Morning Pipe was made only using Virginias and Orientals, but now contains Latakia. Comprised of Virginias from Africa & South America, Orientals from Turkey & Greece and then finished off with a pinch of Cypriot Latakia. Some of the Virginias are steamed to remove a little of the nicotine and add a smooth texture to the smoke.

This mellow and very delicate English blend is great first thing in the morning, sure to gently awaken the senses. The subtle nature of this tobacco also makes it ideal for those who want to try and get into English/Oriental blends.
